Aisha Yesufu Calls Peter Obi Nigeria's Most Courageous Politician

Aisha Yesufu, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has lauded Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, as the most courageous politician in Nigeria. This statement follows an incident on Tuesday when Obi's convoy was halted by youths in Benue State while traveling along the Gboko-Makurdi road to Yelwata, where he intended to visit communities affected by recent violence.

The interruption led to discussions about whether Obi should have continued with his visit. Yesufu defended Obi's decision to discontinue the journey, asserting it was a strategic choice rather than an act of fear.

She contrasted Obi's actions with those of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that Tinubu did not visit Yelwata during a previous trip, citing road conditions as a reason. Yesufu emphasized that Obi has previously visited Benue and highlighted the importance of being strategic in such situations, especially when dealing with individuals lacking employment.
