Four Fulani Men Arrested in Benue Kidnapping Attempt

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Benue State, led by chairman Ardo Muhammad, reported that four Fulani men were arrested in connection with a kidnapping attempt in Okpokwu Local Government Area. The incident occurred last Wednesday when the suspects, who were traveling from Onitsha to visit relatives, allegedly ambushed local youths.

The youths successfully thwarted the kidnapping attempt, rescuing five victims. Following the incident, three of the suspects were apprehended by the police, while the fourth managed to escape but was later severely beaten and sustained injuries.

Local government chairman Adah Inalegwu confirmed the kidnapping incident and the subsequent arrests. MACBAN's chairman emphasized that the arrested individuals were merely travelers and called for swift action from security agencies to ensure justice and restore order in the community.
