Police Arrest 10 Suspects in Benue MACBAN Chairman Murder

The Benue State Police Command arrested ten suspects on Saturday night in connection with the killing of Alhaji Ardo Risku, the chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Benue State. Risku was murdered on Friday along the Okwudu Okpachenyi rural road in the Otukpo Local Government Area.

The arrests were made during a tactical operation led by the Otukpo LGA police, following intensive intelligence gathering. The identified suspects include Titu Thyodenda (25), Utib Sam (20), Owoicho Ameh (18), Sundai Useni (21), Sundai Ogbanj (46), Daniel Raphael (23), Adokol John (24), Samuel Ogazi (32), Agbo Daniel (25), and Onazi Jame (30).

State Commissioner of Police Cletu Nwadiogbu commended the tactical team for their swift response and assured residents that investigations would continue to identify and apprehend all individuals linked to the killing. The police urged the community to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies.
