Peter Ameh Condemns Attack on Peter Obi's Convoy

Peter Ameh, the Kogi East Senatorial candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), condemned the attack on the convoy of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the NDC, in Benue State on Tuesday. Ameh described the attack as utterly condemnable and emphasized that it is absurd and intolerable for such actions to be directed against the opposition.

The incident occurred as Obi was traveling to Makurdi, where his convoy was obstructed by suspected hired thugs. Ameh stated that no citizen should face harassment or obstruction on public roads and that political power should not be used to instill fear or foster lawlessness.

He called for a thorough investigation into the incident, especially if it was sponsored by anyone connected to the state government. Ameh urged the Benue State Government to condemn the attack and ensure that Obi's visit proceeds without further interference, advocating for peace, accountability, and respect for constitutional rights.
