Student Hospitalized After Roommate Attack in Benue

A serious incident occurred at Benue State University, where a student named Adikwu was hospitalized after her roommate, Agbo Felicia, a 500-level Chemistry student, allegedly poured a hot mixture on her. The attack followed a disagreement that escalated after Adikwu requested Felicia to vacate their shared apartment.

Adikwu reported that Felicia boiled water, added pepper, salt, onions, and seasoning, and then poured the hot mixture on her before locking her inside the room. Neighbors responded to Adikwu's cries for help, intervening and rescuing her while intercepting Felicia as she attempted to leave.

The police were called, and DSP Peter Aondongu confirmed that Felicia had been arrested and that an investigation was ongoing. The incident occurred on Friday, August 28, 2026, and both students were identified as students of Benue State University, now renamed MOAUM.
