LASU Condemns Assault Incident in Hostel Video

A video circulating on social media shows a woman allegedly confronting and assaulting a female student inside a hostel room at Lagos State University (LASU). The incident, which occurred in a hostel, features the woman grabbing and striking the student while a bystander attempts to intervene.

The identity of the woman and the student, as well as the reasons for the confrontation, remain unclear. A social media user, Adegbola John, claimed the woman followed her daughter to the hostel to confront her daughter's roommate and tagged Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and LASU officials in a call for intervention.

The post garnered significant attention, with around 38,000 views. In response, LASU condemned the incident, stating that the matter had been addressed but did not provide details on any disciplinary actions taken against those involved.
