Gloria Uko Named Nigeria Representative for Best Diplomats

Gloria Onahi Uko has been appointed as the Country Representative of Best Diplomats in Nigeria, an international organization dedicated to diplomacy, leadership, negotiation, and youth development. This appointment, based on merit, is subject to a six-month probationary period to assess her performance and commitment.

Uko's responsibilities during her 16-month tenure include representing and promoting Best Diplomats' initiatives, engaging with academic institutions and youth organizations, and supporting outreach activities. Best Diplomats conducts diplomatic simulations and is set to hold several conferences in locations including Istanbul, London, Kuala Lumpur, New Jersey, Dubai, and Geneva from October 2026 to July 2027.

Uko, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Benue State University and a Master of Science in International Business and Management from the University of Plymouth, has previously received scholarships from Best Diplomats for conferences. She is also known for her advocacy work during her reign as Queen of Northern Nigeria in 2020.
