Delta Governor Oborevwori Receives Excellence Award

Delta State Governor Rt. Hon.

Sheriff Oborevwori was awarded an Award of Excellence by the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for his administration's effective management of public resources. The award was presented during the opening ceremony of a two-day Public Procurement and Enlightenment Workshop for Executive Council members and top government officials at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba.

Governor Oborevwori, represented by his Deputy Sir Monday Onyeme, stated that Delta State spent over ₦654.5 billion on 362 strategic projects in 2025 without incurring new debt, adhering to the Delta State Public Procurement Law, 2020. This achievement underscores fiscal discipline and procurement transparency, which are crucial in combating corruption and ensuring efficient governance.
