Biafra Government-in-Exile Defies Soludo with Protest

The Biafra Government-in-Exile has openly challenged the authority of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo by declaring a weekly sit-at-home protest, which they assert is a fundamental right to free expression. This statement was issued by Ogechukwu Nkere, the Prime Minister of the Biafra Government-in-Exile, who condemned Soludo's shutdown of the Onitsha main market.

Nkere criticized Soludo as an illegitimate governor and labeled his threats against traders as unjust. The protest, which has entered its second week, is framed as a voluntary act of civil disobedience rather than a coercive strike.

The Biafra Government-in-Exile draws parallels to Mahatma Gandhi's struggle for Indian independence, emphasizing that their actions are a legitimate political resistance against what they describe as Nigeria's oppression.
