IPOB Advocates Biafra Independence as Lasting Solution

The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has reiterated its belief that the restoration of Biafra as an independent sovereign state is the only lasting solution to the challenges faced by the region. In a statement issued on Saturday by IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful, the group claims that Biafra would serve as a secure homeland for vulnerable Judeo-Christian minorities facing persecution across Nigeria.

Kanu expressed appreciation to the Israeli government and the Knesset, particularly to Deputy Speaker Nissim Vaturi and Deputy Chairman Limor Son Har Melech, for their support. The IPOB leadership emphasized the importance of international recognition of human rights and self-determination, asserting that no political pressure or financial influence could suppress their legitimate quest for freedom.

They remain committed to a non-violent struggle and continue their diplomatic outreach efforts in Washington, D.C., and other global capitals.
