Birnin Gwari Chairman Urges Electricity Restoration

Isah, the chairman of Birnin Gwari, revealed that nine of the eleven wards in the local government do not have reliable electricity, primarily due to security challenges that disrupted existing infrastructure. He appealed to the Federal and Kaduna State governments to prioritize reconnecting these communities to the national electricity grid as security improves.

Isah highlighted the adverse effects of unreliable electricity on education, healthcare, agriculture, and small businesses. He also noted the commencement of the reconstruction of the 122-kilometre Mando-Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road, valued at N177 billion, which he described as a significant milestone for local development.

Isah expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this project and acknowledged Governor Uba Sani's interventions in the area. He called for the completion of the abandoned Gwargwaje-Zaria Road and urged for increased investment in education and healthcare facilities in Birnin Gwari.
