Daytime Russian Attack Rocks Kyiv Amid Ongoing Conflict

On Monday, Kyiv experienced explosions due to a rare daytime attack by Russian forces, which involved long-range drone missile strikes targeting the Ukrainian capital. The Ukrainian air defense systems successfully intercepted a barrage of missiles, mitigating potential damage.

Mayor Vitalii Klitschko confirmed via social media that there were no reported casualties from the enemy attack. Eyewitnesses, including an AFP journalist, noted flashes and clouds of smoke in the city as residents sought cover during the rush hour.
