Crypto Entrepreneur Blord Remanded for Alleged Fraud

Linu William Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has been remanded in Kuje Prison after being arraigned in the Federal High Court in Abuja on April 1, 2026. He faces multiple charges, including impersonation and forgery, stemming from allegations that he falsely represented himself as the well-known cryptocurrency activist Martin Vincent Ots, also known as VeryDarkMan.

The court proceedings revealed that Blord allegedly used Ots' name and image without consent to promote a product launch. He is accused of creating promotional materials, including billboards and flyers, that misrepresented a partnership with Ots.

Additionally, Blord allegedly forged a flight ticket bearing his name to travel to Onitsha for a gadget application launch and falsely claimed to have received 500 million naira for endorsing the Billpoint app. The court ordered that he remain in custody for 26 days pending further legal proceedings, with the case expected to continue in the Federal High Court in Abuja.
