Alkali's Leadership Drives North East Recovery Efforts

Alhaji Mohammed Goni Alkali serves as the Managing Director of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) and is noted for his strategic leadership in managing recovery efforts across six states: Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe. Under his direction, the NEDC has implemented a comprehensive recovery framework involving billions of naira to rebuild infrastructure, including schools and healthcare facilities, and to support agricultural initiatives.

Alkali has launched a 6 billion naira educational endowment fund aimed at constructing and renovating schools, addressing educational gaps caused by the insurgency. He has also initiated agricultural programs to enhance food security and support local economies, distributing farm inputs and tools to smallholder farmers.

His leadership emphasizes strict adherence to operational standards and financial integrity, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively for the benefit of the people in the region.
