Zulum Lauds Tinubu's Legacy at Illela Market Upgrade

Borno Governor Ismail Umar Zulum commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's legacy projects while officiating the upgrade of the Illela International Market in Sokoto State. He described the road construction as a landmark infrastructure project with significant economic potential for the country.

The upgrade is expected to enhance connectivity between northern and southern Nigeria, facilitating the movement of goods and services, reducing transport costs, and boosting regional trade. Governor Zulum emphasized the importance of the market in strengthening Nigeria's position as a trade hub in West Africa.

He acknowledged the leadership of Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu, who noted that the project, costing N1,893,630,116.59, aligns with the administration's efforts to develop the agricultural economy. The project involves partnerships with the World Bank and the French Development Agency, reflecting confidence in Sokoto State's ability to implement critical infrastructure projects successfully.
