Borno PDP Boycotts Local Elections Citing Lack of Trust in Electoral Process

The Borno State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has announced its boycott of the December 13 local government elections, citing a lack of confidence in the State's electoral body, BOSIEC. The PDP criticized the transparency of the electoral process and the high fees for nomination forms.

They also demanded transparency in collating and announcing election results. Meanwhile, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) confirmed its readiness to participate in the elections.
