PDP Withdraws from Borno Local Government Poll Citing Lack of Trust

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno State has decided to withdraw from the upcoming local government elections due to distrust in the Borno State Independent Electoral Commission (BOSIEC) and the high costs involved. The PDP alleges that BOSIEC has not given opposition parties enough reasons to trust the credibility and fairness of the electoral process.

The decision was announced by Amo Adziba, the party's Public Secretary, following a recent State Executive Committee meeting in Maiduguri. The PDP raised concerns about the lack of transparency and fairness in the electoral process, accusing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of potential electoral fraud.
