Borno Youths Expel Delegation Over Abducted Students

On Tuesday, in Askira Uba Local Government Area, Borno State, a government delegation led by Abba Wakilb, the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, was chased away by angry youths. The delegation was visiting to express sympathy for families of students abducted during a Boko Haram attack on a secondary school on Monday.

The atmosphere turned chaotic as the commissioner attempted to address the residents, with youths chanting demands for the return of the abducted children. Despite efforts to calm the crowd, tensions escalated, leading to the delegation's departure.

Reports indicate that at least 37 students remain unaccounted for following the attack, which also resulted in the deaths of two teachers. Usman Tar confirmed the attack and stated that security agencies are working to rescue the abducted students, although the exact number of those taken has not been officially confirmed.
