Zulum Promises Reforms for Borno's Mohammed Goni College

On Wednesday, Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State promised to implement reforms and upgrade facilities at the Mohammed Goni College of Legal and Islamic Studies and its Higher Islamic College in Maiduguri. This commitment was made during the reception of a report from a 10-man visitation panel tasked with reviewing the college's activities at the Government House in Maiduguri.

Zulum praised the committee for its thorough work, stating that it operated “without fear or favour.” He assured that the recommendations in the report would be acted upon promptly. The governor mentioned that he had personally visited the college twice in recent months to assess conditions, expressing admiration for the resilience of students, many from underprivileged backgrounds.

He acknowledged the dedication of lecturers who, despite limited financial resources, strive to provide quality education.
