Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games to Feature Bowls Events

The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will commence with Bows and Para Bows as the inaugural sports, marking a new format designed to create a fun and engaging atmosphere. Scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2026, the event will feature competitions throughout the day, allowing athletes to attend the opening ceremony.

There will be seven gold medals contested across various categories, with Jason Bank leading the Scottish contingent in the men's singles, which includes 26 nations. The women's singles will feature 25 countries, while the men's and women's pairs will include 24 and 25 teams, respectively.
