BPP Launches Verification for Procurement Officers

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) announced the commencement of a comprehensive post-deployment verification exercise for procurement officers at salary grade levels 15 and 17. This exercise is set to begin on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, and is a response to a recent redeployment across federal ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

The verification is in accordance with BPP's circular reference number BPP DG 2026 M 20 dated March 23, 2026. The exercise aims to confirm the physical assumption of duties by procurement officers in their new posts and is part of BPP's efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and ensure compliance with the Public Procurement Act of 2007.

Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, the Director General of BPP, emphasized the importance of this verification process in achieving transparency and value for money in public procurement nationwide.
