Operation Fansan Yamma Arrests Terrorist Kingpin, Seizes Arms

On September 9, 2026, troops from Operation Fansan Yamma conducted a clearance operation in Dabar Dabo, Kubau Local Government Area, resulting in the arrest of a suspected terrorist kingpin and two associates. Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, the Media Information Officer for the operation, confirmed these developments in a statement released on September 10.

In a separate operation that same day, troops intercepted a 50-year-old woman in Igabi Local Government Area, discovering 300 rounds of ammunition hidden in her bag. Preliminary investigations indicated she had traveled from Lafia to collect the ammunition for delivery to terrorists in Birnin Gwari.

Additionally, a logistics supplier for terrorist networks was apprehended in Birnin Gwari, with four communication devices found in his possession. All suspects and the recovered items are in military custody as part of Operation Fansan Yamma's efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and limit their operational capabilities.
