Breaking: INEC Takes Final Decision on Omitting or Including SDP Candidates in By-elections

INEC has made a final decision regarding the inclusion of SDP candidates in the upcoming by-elections. Following a court judgment, INEC was ordered to include SDP candidates in 12 states after the party submitted a valid notice of primary elections.

The electoral umpire assured Nigerians that the judgment would not affect the elections scheduled for Saturday, August 16. In preparation for the elections, the Nigerian police have been ordered to provide watertight security in the states involved to ensure a smooth and fair electoral process.

Additionally, civil society organizations have protested in Abuja demanding the inclusion of a candidate from the Labour Party. The INEC and the police are working together to supervise the electoral process and ensure a successful poll.
