Nigerian highlife music icon Orlando Julius has died at the age of 79, leaving behind his widow Latoya Aduke. Known for his exceptional talent, Julius was a key figure in the music industry.

His passing was confirmed by music promoter Bimbo Esho in a Facebook post. Orlando Julius, a native of Ijebu Ijesha, was celebrated last year for his 60-year career in music.

He influenced many musicians globally, including Beauti Nubia and Edaoto. The Ekemode family and the entire music community mourn his loss.
