Nollywood Actor Taiwo Hassan 'Ogogo' Passes Away

Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, a prominent Nollywood actor, has passed away. His death was confirmed by multiple sources, including Seun Oloketuyi, the founder of Best of Nollywood, who announced on social media that Ogogo "finally lost the battle of life." His daughter, Kaira Taiwo, expressed her disbelief during a live Instagram session, visibly emotional over her father's death.

Fellow actor Saheed Balogun mourned Ogogo, stating, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. You can rest now my brother Taiwo Hassan Ogogo.

May Almighty Allah guide you through Aljannah.” Ogogo's death comes shortly after his daughters, Kaira and Lima Taiwo, sought medical assistance for him on August 17, 2026, revealing that doctors had informed the family they could no longer administer chemotherapy due to his advanced condition. The family was exploring alternative treatment options, including specialized medical procedures and traditional remedies.

Ogogo was well-known for his contributions to Yoruba-language films in the Nigerian film industry.
