Oyo State Imposes 16-Hour Curfew in 10 LGAs

On Tuesday night, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde approved a 16-hour curfew for 10 local government areas in the state. This decision, communicated through a memo issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof.

Musibau Babatunde, is set to take effect on Wednesday at 4 PM and will last for 48 hours. The curfew is aimed at addressing security issues in the region, particularly in local government areas bordering the Old Oyo National Park.

The affected local government areas include Oriir, Ikoyi, Igboho, Irepo, Kisi, Saki West, Saki East, Ago Amodu, Atisbo, Tede, Ago Itesiwaju, Otu, Iseyin, Olorunsogo, Igbeti, and Atiba.
