Nigeria Police Suspends Tinted Glass Permit Enforcement Amid Court Order

The Nigeria Police Force has halted the enforcement of vehicle tinted glass permits following a court order. The suspension was confirmed by SP Josephine Adeh of the FCT Police Command, stating that the decision was made after receiving the court order.

The enforcement will remain on hold until a court verdict is reached. The tinted glass regulation was introduced for security reasons to prevent criminal activities using vehicles with darkened windows.

Adeh clarified that the policy is not for financial gain, as payments for tinted permits go directly to the Federal Government's Treasury Single Account. This move aims to address security concerns and facilitate law enforcement efforts in identifying suspects.
