NBA Meets Police IG on Tinted Glass Act Enforcement Amid Court Order

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) met with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun regarding the enforcement of the Motor Vehicles Prohibition Tinted Glass Act 1991. The NBA temporarily suspended the enforcement pending the outcome of a court hearing.

The meeting aimed to enhance collaboration between the police and the bar in upholding the rule of law and promoting public confidence. The delegation, led by NBA President Afam Josiah Osigwe SAN, discussed mutual concerns with the police, emphasizing the need for synergy.

This move followed a court order halting the enforcement of the Act, showing a commitment to addressing the issue through dialogue and legal processes.
