BREAKING: Presidency Breaks Silence On President Tinubu’s Alleged Critical Health Condition

The Presidency has refuted claims made by the Nigerian Institute of Investigative Journalism (NIIJ) that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is critically ill and preparing to leave the country for medical treatment. The report, based on an unnamed source, alleged that Tinubu was bedridden, leading to Vice President Kashim Shettima taking over his official engagements.

Senior Special Assistant to the President, AbdulAziz AbdulAziz, dismissed the report as baseless and untrue, stating that Tinubu is still actively engaged in his duties. The rumors about Tinubu's health began circulating after his absence from a ceremony on August 3, with Shettima representing him.

The Presidency emphasized that Tinubu remains committed to his responsibilities and described the health speculation as unfounded and politically motivated.
