Tinubu Appoints Fayose and 25 Others to Federal Roles

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose and 25 others to various federal agencies and commissions, as announced in a statement by his special adviser on strategic communication, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday. Fayose was named chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and will serve alongside Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engr.

Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta as members. Major General Junaid Bindawa was appointed chairman of the National Salaries and Wages Commission.

Other notable appointments include Olajumok Okoya-Thomas as secretary of the commission and Dr. Ogbol En as a member.

The appointments span across ten federal agencies, with representatives from various states including Benue, Oyo, and Kaduna. Dr.

Mai Adamu Yau from Borno and Ginika Florence from Enugu were also appointed as members of different commissions. The appointments are effective immediately, reflecting Tinubu's strategy to fill key positions in federal agencies.
