Wike to Lead Tinubu's 2027 Campaign in FCT

Nyesom Wike, serving as the Federal Capital Territory Minister, declared his intention to personally lead the campaign structure for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in the Federal Capital Territory. This announcement was made on Friday in Chikuku, a community along the Kuje-Gwagwalada corridor, during his inspection of the Phase Two dualisation project of the Kuje-Gwagwalada road.

Wike stated that supporters from various political platforms are prepared to initiate an aggressive campaign. He countered concerns raised by political opponents regarding electoral conduct by asserting that the administration's visible development work in the territory negates such complaints.

Wike also mentioned that the FCT's infrastructure delivery record would bolster victories not only for Tinubu but also for Senator Philip Aduda and other candidates vying for the territory's two seats. He assured residents that adequate funding would be allocated to complete the road project by December 2026.
