Broda Shaggi Breaks Silence on Stray Bullet Injury During Film Shoot

Samuel Animashaun Perry, professionally known as Broda Shaggi, is a Nigerian comedian and skit maker who experienced a traumatic shooting incident during March 2026. On March 9, he sustained a stray bullet injury near the Sango-Ota Bridge in Ogun State while engaged in a filming activity.

Through a video shared on his YouTube channel, Perry recounted the shocking moment when he discovered he was bleeding and the panic that immediately ensued. According to Perry's recollection, the incident transpired after his team had concluded their work and begun departing from the location.

Though accounts vary regarding whether he was filming a comedy skit or conducting a brand activation, all sources agree that he found himself in traffic when the bullet struck him. Before arriving at medical facilities, Perry lost consciousness and was flown to Dubai for surgical intervention.

During his recovery, Perry revealed concerns about potentially losing the ability to walk. The injury resulted in an extended withdrawal from public life and content production.

Perry conveyed that his prolonged absence from work left him questioning his capacity to pursue entertainment as a career and anxious that followers might no longer remember him. The combination of physical rehabilitation demands and mental anguish kept him away from the public eye for many months.

By releasing his account on video, Perry provided his first comprehensive telling of what occurred during the shooting. Several months elapsed between the March 2026 shooting and when he uploaded this video, reflecting the demanding nature of his recovery and rehabilitation.

His disclosure contributes to the existing body of reporting on the incident that news outlets had covered when it originally happened.
