Nigeria Launches First Hyperscale AI-Ready Data Center

Kasi Cloud launched Nigeria's first hyperscale AI-ready data center, positioned as the largest in West Africa, designed to support the AI era and enhance digital transformation. This facility, known as Los1, features four floors with a total of eight data halls, 400 racks in the main data hall, and a high-density AI hall with 160 racks.

It has a power capacity of 100 megawatts, with eight megawatts dedicated per floor, totaling 32 megawatts across the facility. The data center is built to enable cloud and AI workloads, facilitating next-generation technology for enterprises operating on a global scale.

Johnson Agogbua, co-founder and CEO of Kasi Cloud, emphasized the importance of building infrastructure that reflects African culture and values, aiming to address the current $850 million annual expenditure by Nigerian enterprises on foreign cloud infrastructure. The launch marks a significant step towards improving Nigeria's data sovereignty and creating a sustainable ecosystem for AI and cloud enterprise growth.
