Abdulhame Omotayo Becomes PDP Candidate for Ogun East

Abdulhame Omotayo, known as Omoowo, has been declared the consensus candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the Ogun East senatorial district. This announcement was made following a primary election conducted at the Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu Ode on Wednesday.

Omotayo expressed gratitude to the party leaders, delegates, and members for their support, emphasizing his commitment to representing the interests of the people in Ogun East. He stated that his campaign will focus on principles of equity, justice, peace, and progress, aiming to foster sustainable development and inclusivity.

Omotayo pledged to establish technology-driven constituency offices to improve access and engagement with constituents. He also committed to involving youth and first-time voters in the democratic process.

His emergence as the candidate comes amid ongoing efforts by the PDP to strengthen its structure ahead of future elections.
