Wike Declares PDP as Nigeria's Sole Opposition Party

Nyesom Wike, a key figure in the People's Democratic Party (PDP), declared that the PDP is the only viable opposition party in Nigeria during remarks made on Monday. He congratulated Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their success in the bye-elections held across Nigeria on Saturday.

Wike spoke during an event related to the commissioning of a water supply network project in Karu, a satellite town. He acknowledged the PDP's position as the leading opposition party, emphasizing the necessity of a robust opposition in any political landscape.

Wike's comments came as he marked Tinubu's third anniversary in office, reinforcing the PDP's commitment to challenging the ruling party and maintaining its status as the primary opposition force in Nigeria.
