CAF Officials Inspect Facilities in Nigeria for African Schools Football Championship

CAF officials, including CAF President Dr. Patric Motsepe, are conducting an inspection of facilities in Ikenne and Sagamu, Nigeria, in preparation for the CAF African Schools Football Championship.

The championship, launched four years ago as an annual U15 tournament, focuses on youth football development and educational promotion across Africa. The final phase of the championship is set to feature zonal qualifiers leading to the continent's final tournament in 2024, to be held in Accra, Ghana, for boys and Tanzania for girls.

The winners of the championship will receive a $300,000 infrastructure development fund. The tournament involves partnerships with organizations like UNICEF and the World Health Organization.

Various CAF officials, including Omar Amr and Fatima Elmissaoui, are overseeing different aspects such as safeguarding, marketing, and logistics during the inspection process.
