CAF African Schools Championship Finals Set for March 2024

The final phase of the zonal qualification for the CAF African Schools Championship is set to begin on March 12, 2024, in Libreville, Gabon. The tournament will feature teams from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sao Tome and Principe, and the host nation Gabon, competing in a round-robin format from March 12 to March 15 at the Stade de Nzeng Ayong.

This championship represents the final stage of the UNIFFAC qualification series, with fixtures scheduled across the region leading up to the tournament's conclusion in November 2025. The winners in both the boys' and girls' under-15 categories will secure a place in the continental finals next month.

This event marks the fourth edition of the CAF African Schools Football Championship, which aims to develop grassroots football and empower young people across Africa. In addition to the matches, CAF will conduct capacity-building programs to strengthen grassroots football development, including coaching workshops and training sessions for young personnel.
