Canada-Nigeria Street Food Competition Strengthens Ties

The sixth series of the Canada-Nigeria Street Food Competition took place in Lagos, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties through culinary arts. The event brought together eight contestants from Nigeria's street food ecosystem, showcasing dishes inspired by Nigerian culture.

Carlo Roja Arbul, the Canadian Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, highlighted the importance of the event in fostering business connections and cultural exchange between the two nations. Femi Ogundoro, Chief Executive Officer of Foodbai, described the competition as a transformative enterprise that creates economic value and impacts the livelihoods of young Nigerians.

The event not only provided exposure and mentorship for participants but also aimed to connect people at a business level, emphasizing the significance of culinary talent in building meaningful relationships between Canada and Nigeria.
