Chemical and Allied Products CAP Q1 2026 Results
Chemical and Allied Products Plc (CAP) has released its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 31 March 2026. The filing reports growth across revenue, gross profit, operating profit, and profit after tax compared to Q1 2025.
Chemical and Allied Products Plc (NGX: CAP) reported unaudited results for Q1 2026 on 27 April 2026, showing revenue of ₦11.6 billion, a 15% increase from ₦10.1 billion recorded in Q1 2025. Gross profit rose 15% to ₦5.1 billion, with gross margin holding steady at 44% in both periods.
Operating profit grew 40% year-on-year to ₦2.1 billion, while the operating margin expanded from 15% to 18%. Net finance income came in at ₦270 million, up 37% from ₦197 million in Q1 2025. Profit before tax reached ₦2.4 billion, a 40% increase from ₦1.7 billion in the prior year period. Profit after tax was ₦1.6 billion, up 38%, with earnings per share rising to 194 kobo from 141 kobo.
On the balance sheet, total assets stood at ₦26.4 billion as at March 2026, up 8% from ₦24.5 billion at December 2025. Equity increased 11% to ₦15.8 billion over the same period. Total liabilities were ₦10.6 billion. CAP's parent company, UAC of Nigeria PLC, holds 57.85% of the company's shares.
