CAS Schedules Hearing for Senegal's AFCON Final Appeal

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has scheduled a hearing for October 8, 2026, regarding an appeal filed by the Senegalese Football Federation concerning the outcome of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final. The appeal, registered on March 25, 2026, challenges the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) decision to declare Senegal as having forfeited the final, awarding Morocco a 3-0 victory.

The hearing will take place at CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, and will be conducted behind closed doors. CAS noted that the case will follow a standard timeline as the parties did not agree to expedite the process.
