MLS Investigates Casemiro's Transfer to Inter Miami

Major League Soccer (MLS) is conducting an investigation into the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro to Inter Miami, following concerns of tampering related to discovery rights. According to MLS regulations, a team must have discovery rights to a player before completing a transfer.

Prior to Inter Miami acquiring Casemiro's rights, the Los Angeles Galaxy held those rights, which grants them the first opportunity to negotiate with the player. MLS issued a statement indicating that it is gathering relevant information and will not comment further until the review is complete.

Casemiro, who previously played for Manchester United, where he made 160 appearances and won an FA Cup and a Carabao Cup after transferring from Real Madrid, will join fellow Brazilians Lionel Messi and De Paul in the United States. David Beckham, an owner of Inter Miami, expressed admiration for Casemiro's determination and success in football.
