Yoruba Tennis Club Hosts Gov Eno on Democracy Lecture

The Yoruba Tennis Club (YTC) is set to host Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Bassey Eno for the third edition of its centenary seminar/lecture series on August 6. The event, themed ‘Democracy and the Imperative of Good Governance: Renewing Hope in Challenging Times,’ will take place at the Greetings Hall of the Yoruba Tennis Club in Onikan.

Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to attend as the Special Guest of Honour.

Lookman Kotun, the General Secretary of YTC, stated that the seminar aims to reinforce the club's role in intellectual engagement and civic discourse. The lecture will allow discussions on democratic governance and the development strides in Akwa Ibom State under Eno's administration.

Kotun described Governor Eno as an accomplished businessman and clergy, emphasizing his commitment to human capital development and collaboration with institutions. The centenary celebration of YTC is themed ‘A Century at the Forefront of History and Tradition,’ highlighting its dedication to cultural and intellectual development.
