Ogunlew Denies Attack on Journalist at Kosofe LG

Moyo Ogunlew, the Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area, strongly refuted allegations made by journalist Habeeb Adejobi of MITV regarding an attack within the council secretariat in Lagos on Wednesday. Ogunlew expressed surprise at the claims, asserting that no assault took place and that Adejobi was merely filming on the premises without proper identification.

He stated that Adejobi attempted to cover up the situation and that the claims were part of a political scheme to embarrass him and the local government. Ogunlew mentioned that a person was arrested within the secretariat and taken to Ogudu Police Station for questioning, but Adejobi was unable to produce a valid identification card to support his claims.

Ogunlew emphasized that the local government would not be deterred by such political opposition and would continue to pursue its goals without being blackmailed.
