Champions League Reveals Fastest Players of the Season

The UEFA Champions League has unveiled data highlighting the fastest players of the season, based on maximum speed across five positional categories. Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon stands out as the fastest player in the tournament, recording an impressive speed of 37.92 km/h.

In the central back category, Manchester City's Abdukodir Khusanov leads with a top speed of 35.8 km/h, closely followed by Tottenham's Micki van de Ven. PSG's Achraf Hakimi leads the full-back category with a speed of 36.4 km/h, alongside Nuno Mendes.

In central midfield, Tottenham's Archie Gray recorded a speed of 34.8 km/h. Kylian Mbappé is noted for his speed in the central forward category, reaching 35.7 km/h.

The report also analyzed three central forwards, revealing that Kylian Mbappé clocked 43.5 km/h, Victor Osimhen reached 41.9 km/h, and Luis Suárez achieved 40.1 km/h, with players spending a significant percentage of time running below 7 km/h.
