Charlton, Bolton Interested in Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo

Nigeria international goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo is currently under observation by EFL Championship clubs Charlton Athletic and Bolton Wanderers, as reported by Sports Illustrated and PUNCH Sports Extra. Okonkwo is positioned behind Anthony Patterson and Danny Ward in the goalkeeping hierarchy at Wrexham following Patterson's club-record signing from Sunderland.

With Okonkwo in the final year of his contract, Wrexham risks losing him for free next summer if he is not sold before the current transfer window or the January window closes. He initially joined Wrexham on loan for the 2023/24 season before signing a permanent deal.

Prior to Wrexham, Okonkwo spent 15 years at Arsenal, joining the club at age eight. He played a crucial role in Wrexham's back-to-back promotions from League Two to the Championship, achieving 47 clean sheets in 121 appearances while conceding 127 goals.
