Bouncers Arrested After Pepper Spray Incident on Children’s Day

On Children’s Day, three bouncers were arrested in connection with a pepper spray incident that occurred on Mai 25, leading to the collapse of several students on Mai 27. The police command confirmed the arrests, identifying the suspects as Ifeanyi John Paul (36), Ola Ibikunle (46), and Onoha Chukwuoji (33), along with Rebecca Hassan, who allegedly supplied the pepper spray used at the event.

The police, represented by CSP Mose Yamu, stated that the bouncers unlawfully discharged the pepper spray in an attempt to control the crowd, causing panic among the children participating in the celebration. The police warned against the misuse of such devices, emphasizing that it could lead to serious injuries or even death.

They urged individuals or groups in possession of unauthorized security equipment to surrender it immediately to avoid arrest and prosecution.
