China to Protect Interests Amid U.S. Iran Sanctions

On Tuesday, China declared its intention to safeguard its interests in response to the United States' plans for sanctions against Iran, which is a significant economic partner for Beijing. The U.S. has outlined measures for what it describes as the "economic asphyxiation" of Iran, which includes penalties on certain entities, some of which are located in China, and the expansion of secondary sanctions threats.

Lin Jian, the spokesman for China's foreign ministry, stated that China has consistently opposed illegal unilateral sanctions and emphasized that it would take all necessary measures to firmly protect its rights and interests. This statement reflects China's ongoing stance against U.S. sanctions and its commitment to supporting its economic partnerships.
