Chioma Ajunwa Reflects on Life's Defining Moments

Chioma Ajunwa, who made history by winning Nigeria’s first Olympic gold medal in the long jump at the 1996 Atlanta Games, shared ten pivotal moments that shaped her life in an interview with Kunle Adewale. She takes pride in being the only female athlete to have played football at the highest level, representing Nigeria at the 1991 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Ajunwa recalls the day she won Olympic gold, noting that she did not grasp its significance until her return to Nigeria.
