Chioma Tyra Obiadi: Journey to 40th Miss Nigeria

Chioma Tyra Obiadi, born and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria, identifies as Nigerian first and is deeply proud of her Igbo heritage. She is the first child in a close-knit family of four children, raised in a modest Catholic home that instilled values of faith, humility, discipline, and service.

Obiadi's educational journey began at Handmaid Intern Catholic Primary School in Lagos and continued at Ladi Fatima Academy in Iwo, Osun State. She studied Geography and Meteorology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) from 2014 to 2018.

Her modeling career began unexpectedly during her studies, leading her to win the UNIZIK crown and later compete in the Miss Anambra pageant, where she finished as first runner-up. Ultimately, she became the 40th Miss Nigeria, focusing on the Green Girl Project, which addresses environmental sustainability and community health.

Obiadi emphasizes that true leadership involves serving others and creating opportunities, and she continues to influence positively even after her reign.
