Chioma Tyra Obiadi Crowned 40th Miss Nigeria

Chioma Tyra Obiadi, who became the 40th Miss Nigeria, hails from Neni in the Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. Born and raised in Surulere, Lagos State, she is proud of her Igbo heritage and identifies as Nigerian first.

Obiadi's educational journey began at Handmaid Intern Catholic Primary School and continued at Ladi Fatima Academy in Iwo, Osun State. She studied Geography and Meteorology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) from 2014 to 2018.

Her modeling career began unexpectedly during her university years, leading her to compete in various pageants, including Miss Anambra, where she finished as first runner-up. Her victory at Miss Nigeria opened doors for her to represent Nigeria on international platforms, focusing on environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Girl Project.

Obiadi believes that true leadership involves service and creating opportunities for others, emphasizing that the responsibilities of a title like Miss Nigeria extend beyond the crown.
